Term 1 Sport Set to Kick Off! Rowing Club Cocktail Party

Currently we have 390 boys registered for Term 1 sport, including six Grade 7 basketball teams and over 50 boys in the Cricket Development programme! These pages are sure to be filled with images and reports so please take the time to check in each week. A reminder for those who aren't following our Facebook and Instagram pages, these too will be filled with amazing images and reports from around the grounds. Swimming Trials

Registrations are now open for boys wishing to trial to be part of the St Virgil's College Swimming Team for 2020.

The trials are for highly capable swimmers and are run in conjunction with Mount Carmel College, St Mary's College and Guilford Young College.

The trials will take place at the Hobart Aquatic Centre on Monday February 17, starting at 7.00 pm.

Following the trials, the SVC Swim Team will be selected to participate in the SSATIS Swimming Carnival on Wednesday March 11 and the SATIS Swimming Carnival on Thursday March 26, both at the Hobart Aquatic Centre.

Please note, the selection trials provide a guide only for the final selection of the team. Past performances, commitment to College sport and fulfillment of student expectations will also be taken into account.

Registrations close at 5.00 pm on Friday February 14. Students can register for multiple events.

St Virgil's, St Mary's and GYC Rowing Club - 3rd Annual Cocktail Party and Silent Auction Fundraiser

All current and past supporters of the SMC/SVC/GYC Rowing Club are warmly invited to attend the club’s third annual cocktail party, to be held at New Town Bay Rowing Centre on Saturday March 7 - 7.00pm for 7.30pm.
There will be some fabulous prizes up for auction!

Tickets are $35 per head which includes entertainment, canapes and free drink on arrival.
Tickets can be purchased from the St Virgil’s College Junior or Senior School Office.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase and maintenance of rowing boats, safety equipment and club facilities.
