    SSATIS Basketball

This week saw the second round of JSSATIS Basketball.  Once again all SVC teams were rostered to play one another on our home court, SMC Nagle Centre.  It does appear that we have the mix right with all teams reasonably even in their ability.  Next week we have the first of the away games with all our Grade 5&6 teams playing at either Hutchins or Dominic.  Three of our four Grade 3&4 teams are playing at the Nagle Centre next week with SVC White the only team playing away against Sacred Heart College.

    Water Polo

Well done to our water polo teams who last Friday evening won premierships in the Grade 7&8 and Grade 9&10 divisions. The Grade 7&8 grand final was an all SVC affair, whilst the Grade 9&10 team won a thriller 5-4 with the game going down to the final seconds. Well done to all players and coaches on a fantastic season.

In last Friday's Mercury the strength of our cricket programme was highlighted in a photo promoting the upcoming Australia v South Africa Test in Hobart. In promoting 100 days to the Test, the photo assembled 10 talented junior players who made 100s last season. Five of the ten were current and past students of St Virgil's!
