The Learning Enhancement Centre at St Virgil’s is a vibrant and integral part of the College’s learning community. A highly skilled team of Learning Support Officers, under the guidance of the Head of Learning Enhancement, works with students, teachers and parents to develop strategies to enable students to access the curriculum at their level.
This supports students in achieving the best possible learning outcomes.
Operating out of a purpose-built learning centre, Learning Enhancement offers a wide range of opportunities including support in the classroom, individual and small group withdrawal, dedicated literacy classes, subject tutorials, extension of gifted students, EAL (English as Another Language) instruction, a Landcare program and programs developed to support each student's individual learning plan.
The aim of Learning Enhancement at St Virgil’s is to encourage all students to engage in the learning experience to the best of their ability.
