The Significance of Easter

Over the Easter period we take time to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus makes for us by giving his life on the cross and his triumphant rising on Easter Sunday. I encourage all members of our community to take time to reflect on this story and to explore the real significance. In this fast paced world in which we live, Easter has become a commercial enterprise for hot cross buns and Easter eggs. Taking the time to attend one of the many services over the Holy Week will provide some reflective time to focus on the true meaning of the sacrifice made for us.

As we move to the end of a very busy term, I wish you a refreshing and relaxing Easter break and look forward to the quick sprint to the end of Term 1.

In the spirit of Blessed Edmund,

Damian Messer
