From the Acting Principal

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend of celebrations with members of the Old Virgilians Association and a number of community activities were held including Mass at the St Virgil's Chapel at GYC Barrack St, a Gala Dinner at Wrest Point Hotel and an Open Day at Austins Ferry on Sunday.

Whilst each event was special, as much as anything though it was the conversations that were held that were the feature of the weekend. It is hard to explain to somebody not associated with the College the sense of spirit and connectedness to community that St Virgil's has. In my experience it is unique.

Please enjoy these pages of The Star which highlight the events, programmes and happenings where conversations abound and deep learning and connection is evident and the genesis for lifelong friendships are formed.

In the spirit of Blessed Edmund,

Terry Blizzard
Acting Principal
