Vol. 8 Ed. 18 8th July 2020

From the Principal

Mary Rice Day

My thanks to the boys for their enthusiasm and effort in raising funds for our friends in Nairobi. Students and staff have been extremely busy in their preparation for Mary Rice Day on Friday June 28. The first two rounds of the Kibera All Stars House Soccer Tournaments have been played, with the Grand Final happening 9am on June 28. House Walkathon Banners are being painted and signed and the immersion group who are going to Africa on July 10 have raised valuable funds for Br Gerald to purchase shirts for their walkathon. My thanks also to the Parents & Friends group for their willingness to give of their time to feed the staff and students on Mary Rice Day.

If anyone in our community would like to join us for the walkathon as a Friend of Mary Rice, the walkathon begins at 1.00pm at the Austins Ferry campus. It would be wonderful to have many of you join us for the afternoon.

I hope that boys are starting to fill their sponsorship cards for the walkathon.  A group of our Grade 10 students will be heading off on their immersion and will take the good will of our College to the Centre and also participate in the Mary Rice walkathon in Kibera on Saturday July 20.

 Community Football Luncheon

I invite all in the community who are available on Friday July 5 to book a table for the College Community Football Lunch being held at the Grand Chancellor. All proceeds for the lunch are donated to the Alex Gadomski Fellowship. Bookings can be made at
