From the Principal

Over the course of eight days we will hold two significant events that say much about the sense of community that defines St Virgil's.

Last Saturday through the efforts of the P&F we held our biennial Gala Dinner Auction. Over 120 gathered at the New Town Bay Rowing Centre to bid for a range of items donated by parents, staff and corporate partners. The bidding was kicked off via our Facebook page and continued throughout the night. Bidding was indeed spirited and their was a great sense of fun and friendship. Through the efforts of the sub-committee and parents and friends from both campuses over $17,000 was taken which will be used on projects that benefit students on both campuses.

It was a wonderful effort by the P&F and I sincerely thank the sub-committee organisers Katrina Arkley, Narelle Green, Susanne Walker, Sally Feldmanis and Nathan Ellis.

This Sunday our attention turns to the Patrick St Campus for the annual Junior School Fair. The day begins at 11.30am and will conclude at 2pm. It is the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon - there will be sumptuous food on offer so make it your lunch stop for the day! In  addition you can win lots of great prizes and the children can participate in a range of fun games and activities. We will also be entertained by our College musicians rounding off a wonderful day and the perfect way to catch up with other members of our community.

Thank you and well done to the Junior School P&F Committee led so ably by Kerry Lyden for bringing the day to together.

Please read on and find out about about other great happenings in our College community ....

In the spirit of Blessed Edmund,
